I absolutely love this biltong slicer. It is not the first one that I have bought. This one is for a friend as he saw it at our house and also loved it. It makes carving biltong a whole lot easier and fun. The quality is incredible and I have had no problems with mine since I bought it about 8 years ago and we use it a lot! Thank you.

Bought mine about 7 years ago from one of the SA shops in Australia. I make my own biltong and this slicer has been a game changer. Quickly slice a batch when friends visit or take it with when camping and everyone is in biltong heaven. Maybe a bit pricey to purchase in Australia but still worth every cent!

I grew up with a Claasens hand biltong carver in our home. For the first few years after getting married, we used my in-law's guillotine type biltong carver, but eventually I became so frustrated, I purchased our own Claasens! I can't remember the exact date of purchase, but is was more than 15 years ago. I purchased a second one for our son & his little family that joined the family farming business 6 years ago. What an awesome product!!!
I was with Jannie and Japie Claassens in st 4 in Ficksburg. At that time my father had a slicer witch handle broke. I gave it to the twin brothers and they replaced it with the one in the pictures. This was way back in 1977. When my Father passed away I inherited it. We are still using the same blade ever sins. I like to cut my own biltong. This is simply the best biltong slicer. I was close friends with the twins up until we left school. I think this slicer will be passed on one day to my Son.

This machine promoted my biltong eating career to diploma to honours!! I am now a master biltong eater. But on a serious note, this machine is designed to perfection, allowing us to adjust the thickness of the slices to exactly what each individual in my home likes. OUPA likes thick chunks while ouma want thin slices. Thank you Claasens for a truly quality product!!

The slicers works very well, you can even slice multiple pieces of biltong at the same time. One recommendation for Classens is if they can include a wooden stopper block so that you don’t slice your fingers when getting to the small biltong end piece.
